~ Land Acknowledgment ~
We acknowledge the sacred land on which we practice, remembering this land has been stolen from Indigenous peoples who are still here today. In this acknowledgement, I name my own positionality as a white settler on unceded territory and the ongoing hurt of colonization.
We acknowledge that the Southern Salish Sea region lies on the unceded and ancestral land of the Coast Salish peoples, the Duwamish, Muckleshoot, Puyallup, Skykomish, Snoqualmie, Snohomish, Suquamish and Tulalip tribes and other tribes of the Puget Sound Salish people. We see you, respect your right to sovereignty and self-determination, and are committed to being better listeners, learners, and in lifting indigenous voices.
